Hospital Question

If you live in the Murrieta/Temecula area, I was wondering where you delivered your baby?  I'm close to Rancho Springs, but if I stay with my current OB I'd have to deliver in Fallbrook.  Anyone have experiences with these?!

Thanks for your help!

Re: Hospital Question

  • I delivered at Rancho Springs 2 years ago. I really liked my dr but the nurses left a lot to be desired. But I have heard of other people having better experiences than me. And to be fair there were a huge amount of woman in labor while I was there.

Also the recovery rooms are really small and not meant to be shared. However they are in the middle of remodeling over there so I am hoping they will be done with the new L&D area by the time my next baby comes in Jan.

And from what I understand once it does there will be no more deliveries at the wildomar hospital so I hope this means Rancho Springs will be better equipped and better staffed.

  • A lot of what you experienced seems to be the norm.  Who is your doctor?  Unfortunately, if I want to deliver at Rancho I need to switch doctors now - but I haven't been able to find a good rec.
  • I was with Dr Charles Yang who I really liked. I saw all the drs from his group http://www.temeculavalleyobgyn.com/index.html and they were all really nice. However he isn't on my new insurance so we had to switch. I am now with Dr Bielman and I've only had 2 appts with her but so far I like her.
  • Temecula OBGYN is the one that's always referred, but they don't take HMO.  Dr. Bielman was the one I was thinking about switching to - I'm glad your experience with her has been good so far.
  • BIP- a good friend of mine just delivered her baby at Rancho Springs. She liked everything about it. The only problem was that the lactation specialist wasn't thorough enough. Her doctor was Patti Demitt. I've also seen Demitt for just regular check ups and adore her. She's really smart and has a great bedside manner. Her office is in Wildomar

I had Dr. Anderson and he is a private practice across the street and was amazing!?
