Getting burnt out looking for a job.

I am looking for receptionist type positions but I am not having any luck.

Have you tried any staffing agencies?
you need to find one that does mostly office staffing. Very few do all-around staffing. I work in staffing and we are starting to get more office jobs the past weeks, so I think it is picking up!
I know how frustrating it is, I'm sorry you're going through it. I hope something comes up soon!
I have found some temp and part-time jobs to get me through on craigslist, I don't know if you ever go on there.
Yeah I have been to craigslist. Out of like 70 applications I sent in I got one call back from a lady who still had 250 more people to interview.
I have been looking for like 4 months now.
I hate being between jobs.
Last time I was in between jobs, of course it wasn't as tough as a market then, I set myself a daily goal. I had to submit my resume for at least one job that i was truly interested in and then I would try to set up at least 1 networking meeting. After I accomplished that I would move on to other things I wanted to do clean, watch a movie, plan our wedding, this was several years ago, and so on. You can only scour through postings so long before you get burnt out.
I'm going through alot of the same thing! I'd keep looking for a staffing agency. You just need to find one that's focused in your area. I have friends who have used Adecco and Frontline (maybe... not sure on the name).

And I look for jobs a few days a week and I apply for stuff that sounds interesting to me and I usually set a goal of about 5-8 a day when I do look.
I will take tomorrow off from looking because I'm having lunch with my dad and then going to Kid Rock/Lynyrd Skynyrd concert tomorrow night.
