Looking for "Manhattan-like" restaurant in Queens for....
Bridal shower. My future SIL wants to have her bridal shower at a manhattan-like restaurant in Queens. Nothing comes to mind. Can you girls help??
when I say Mnahattan-like, I mean like a downtown feel like Tribeca grill. See link for the look:

Re: Looking for "Manhattan-like" restaurant in Queens for....
the steak house is called aged - haven't eaten there yet but have heard good things
there are a few asian places - jade and moca, both are really good. i think jade has a nicer vibe
in astoria, the wine bar section of trattoria l'incontro might be good. their food is fantastic. ?
Aged is okay, but maybe a little crowded for a shower. Jade is trendy, but it can be loud and really not my cup of tea.
The few places that I can think of off the top of my head for both a fit in terms of cuisine and atmosphere: Bliss Bistro in Sunnyside, Brick Cafe in Astoria, or Tournesol in Long Island City. Not too sure about the size of your event. Some of these suggestions might not be large enough to accommodate your party.
