Baby Shower Decoration Ideas??
I'm helping host a couple's baby shower in a few weeks. It's going to be an outside event and we'll probably have around 8 tables outside that need some sort of decorations. Our friend is having a boy so we're trying to stick with blue and green decorations. Any cute ideas??
I was originally thinking of using different glass pieces on the tables and filling them up with blue and green candy (jelly bellies and gum balls), but when I looked into the pricing of the candy it was adding up fast! Any ideas would be great!
Thanks!!
Re: Baby Shower Decoration Ideas??
This might be cheesy but maybe you could turn it into something cute. What if you used something that the new mommy could take home? For example, a different (cute) toy on each table or bottles used as a vase for a few daisies or something. Does that make sense? Coupled with a tablecloth you might be able to make it work.
GL!
not sure about what style you are going for, but check out hostesswiththemostess.com. They have my favorite decoration ideas for parties and showers.
You could do baby blue table cloths with lime green pom pom mums in a small square vase with a blue/green polka dot or striped grosgrain ribbon around the vase.
You can get small 3" square vases at Hobby Lobby for $1-1.50 each and the pom poms are relatively cheap.
What about filling glass jars or bowls with limes (and or lemons). You can get a pretty good sized bag at Sam's for a few dollars. Or you could get white daisies inexpensively and than put them in a clear glass vase with lime or lemon slices.
Good luck!
Clear bowl or vase filled with limes or apples accented with blue ribbon.
A wheatgrass arrangement like the one below would be really cool, but collar it with green Kermit poms instead of roses.
Here are some other pics for inspiration....
Love the cute mason jars with the white Marguerita Daisies.
^ I like these green apple centerpiece and you could just band the vase with blue ribbon....
This is sort of decorating related. If you're having an outside baby shower, you *have* to do a watermelon baby carriage fruit salad!! They're so cute. Here's a link to one, albeit a little snazzier with the cuts then I'd be willing to do, but you get the point!

I like the lemon, lime & apples in glass bowl ideas. You could look at Goodwill/Thrift Town for some interesting glass vases/jars.
I do love diaper "cakes" which you can make as big or small as you like. The diapers can be used later and you just use ribbon to add color.
And I'm obsessed with the clothes line full of color scheme onzies or other baby clothes.
Good luck!
