The lady I'd been going to for my facial waxing and haircuts left the salon. She at least gave me her card with what I assumed was her cell phone. I am in DIRE need of an eyebrow wax and haircut.
I've put off calling the past two weeks because I always forget or I'm just kind of weird about calling people's cell phones when I don't know them personally (I know her in a stylist position, not in a friend way.) So I finally sucked it up and called... and her voicemail says she's an "independent beauty consultant." Sonofab!tch. I was afraid of that. It means she's working out of her house and in my experience, that doesn't work well for me. (In her case, I guarantee she didn't put a couple grand into a "private salon" at her newly purchased little bitty house in a neighborhood I'd rather not go to.)
So I'm back to square one finding someone. I know someone I used to go to that does a great job on my eyebrows, but a) she's expensive, b) she can't cut or color my hair worth a damn, and c) the salon she works at is very pretentious. ![]()
Re: Sonofa*****
I'm sorry that really sucks
I go to somebody for my eyebrows, somebody else for my hair, somebody else for nails. I just like the way specific people do certain things.
If you like the other lady could you go to her for your waxing and find someone else for your hair? i know it's a pain but sometimes its worth it.
I've thought of doing that, Joanna. It's probably what I'll end up doing, but I still hate the thought of even spending the $$ for just the waxing alone. Her salon is like twice what I've been paying!
