As you know, I was in Canada for a couple weeks. I had a good time with friends and family.?
I was supposed to arrive home on Friday at midnight, but due to mechanical issues, my connecting flight was cancelled, so I was stranded in chicago for 23 hours. Fortunately, because it was the airline's fault, they paid for my night in the hotel as well as giving me a small meal voucher ($7)...
Anyway, I finally got back to NY at 11pm on Saturday. Rich and I grabbed some pizza and then went to bed. Sunday we went down to MIL's, where we spent a couple hours with Rich's grandparent's in honor of a belated father's day. ?Then we went to a graduation party for a daughter of a friend of MIL's. The graduate is autistic so it was a pretty big deal to be there. It was fun, but it left no time in my weekend to catch up with any computer time
?
Yesterday I started my new job. I am just getting the feel of things for now, kind of going with the flow. So far so good. But I am so tired already with working for 8.5 hours, coming home to cook and clean..... I will try to be online more often, more consistently, but it is going to be a definite change from practically being on 24-7 like I have been lately. ?
Re: sorry i've been gone!!!
Jenny, Good to see you back! I'm sure it is an adjustment to be working full-time after having a lot of time at home. Glad your trip was good, and it sounds like you had a fun weekend. Wonderful!
You will get used to working full-time and being home also. It just takes some time. Trust me I am still not used to coming home and being asked tons of questions about dinner and laundry..
I always just had to get our daughter dinner then I would eat whatever, now I have to actually have a plan to make Dh dinner also.
Glad to see you back, Jenny!
It's said that it takes about 6 months to settle completely into any new job (and the adjustments to home) so, be easy on yourself and you'll adjust as time goes on! If it hleps any, I picked up a great cookbook on Amazon that been making my life easier - 5 ingredient, 15 minutes meals: Fresh Food Fast
