So DH and I decided that rather than waste the remainder of the formula I bought, that we would replace her bedtime snack with a small bottle of formula. Normally she will nurse off one side and then crash so I figure it's an easy feeding to eliminate. ?It's genius! ?The last two nights she has skipped her 5:30 feeding and slept until 8! ?I am so happy. ?And today she is in a really great mood which leads me to my next little thing.
Dh and I were in Winners the other day with DD and she was cranky. ?We were passing a bucket of stuffed toys so DH grabbed this pink elephant. ?She immediately stopped crying when she saw it and smiled. ?DH put it in her stroller and she started talking to it. ?It was so cute we had to buy it. ?It's now her best friend. She was crying yesterday and I showed it to her and she reached for it, gave it a hug and started talking to it again. ?This time it wasn't happy talk, it sounded like she was pouring her heart out telling it how horrible naps were. ?As I type this she is sitting on DH's lap with her arm around her little pink elephant watching Stargate and chewing on it's ear. ?
I find it interesting that all of these people spent tons of money on stuffed toys all saying that they hope it's her best friend. ?My dad gets offended if he sees any stuffed animal in a picture of her that isn't the dog he bought. ?And it's a cheep stuffed animal grabbed by a desperate parent is the favorite toy. ?also the fact that she talks to it cracks me up.?
