cheaper price @ hotel??
I know I could use hotwire, but I really hate booking without knowing the hotel. Are there other sites with cheaper prices, where you know what hotel it is (as opposed to just calling the hotel direct)?
I'm just looking for my mom tonight-she is in town for a funeral, and since I am living in Burleson with friends, I have nowhere for her to stay!

try kayak.com or priceline. PL has an option now where it's not opaque, and you can choose the hotel you want.
Also, you might want to try to call the hotels directly- they pay crazy fees for having guests book onlne, and might be willing to lower the price to avoid the fees--
