DH and I are wondering if it would be appropriate to take R to a fireworks display. We are a bit skeptical, but I remember some people last year had babies with them. We can't decide, so I thought I would ask if any of you moms have taken your tiny ones to these things and how it went. Is 8 weeks too young to take all that noise? I think we will go with the consensus.
Re: 4th of July question
Isabel was born July 12th so she was a year by her first 4th of july.
We aren't even going to bother taking them to firework display this year. They don't start till 9 which is past their bedtime. Plus when we watch the fireworks at DLand Isabel wasn't really all that interested.
I say you can take her since she will probably just sleep in her carseat but sit further away.
I'm not a mom, so no practical experience, but I think she'd probably just sleep through it. But if you are unsure about it, than stay home and watch some on TV. It's just one year, and if it saves you some anxiety to not mess with it, than just relax.
I love this advice.
Me too
If I were you the anxiety and uncertainty wouldn't be worth it - especially if its gonna be crowded.
Took Campbell to a WNBA game when he was 6 weeks old. ?He slept through the entire thing ... including intros. ?And I am sure games are much louder than fireworks.
