cleaning glass shower stall?

I am having the hardest time keeping the glass in our shower clean.  We squeegee after each shower, but I still have marks on the glass.  I think it is from the hard water and maybe a hard water/soap scum combo.  What products do you use to keep your nice and clean?

Re: cleaning glass shower stall?

  • I adore Clean Shower... just spray after the shower and there isn't much more work after that!!! ?I squeegee occasionally...

    HTH!?

  • i have never done this but I have heard that you can put rainx on the glass to prevent. I use tilex to get the scum/hard water off our shower
  • Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It definitely helped our glass shower door and walls get cleaner. ?HTH!
  • We use that thing that goes in a circle and sprays it after the shower. Brain fart - can't think of what it's called.

I think we have what you're talking about - the Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner.

This and Magic Erasers are a glass shower door's best friend :) We would give our door a good scrubbing with the erasers then just spray it down  with Clean Shower (or something similar) after each use. It stayed crystal clear!

  • We've tried the rainx before and it worked pretty good... you just have to reapply it every so oftern which we never did bc we are lazy like that.

Does the automatic thingy really work that good?  Is it worth it?

I don't know how well it works on glass.  We used it in our tub/shower combo that had a curtain.  It does a good job of maintaining the tiles and tub between cleanings, as far as minimizing the soap scum and mildew.  You'll still have to scrub the tub every so often, although it makes the job much easier when you do.

Also, the package says the spray is safe, but I still didn't want it spraying on my soap, sponge and bottles everyday so I bought a plastic shower tote to keep my stuff in and took it out every morning while it sprayed.

  • Oohh I didn't even think about my little sponge thingy... might have to try this out though.  Thanks for the feedback on that!
