So I?m not very religious?I know the basics J
DH and I attended mass this past weekend at a local Catholic Church near our home for the first time.
I was confused, all other churches I?ve ever been to have 1 priest and maybe 1 assistant.
This Church has a Pastor, Associate & 2 Deacons
I was trying to figure it out on-line but I?m lost.
From what I understood Preist is in a Roman Catholic Church and Pastor is in a Christian Church but then name of the one we went to said St. Name Name Catholic Church?
Is anyone able to clear this up for me?
I?d like to be sure we?re registering to the right Church!

Re: Catholic Church Q:
I am with you on that one!
Here's what I know (bear in mind I am not Catholic but had to go to a weekend "course" before getting married in the Catholic church)
A pastor is in charge of a Catholic parish and must be a priest and the associate pastors must also be priests as well while deacons do not have to be ordained and are kind of like "elders" although they don't have to be of an advanced age.
The word pastor is also used in other denominations.
