So DH calls me around 12:15 or so and said that his mom is stopping by because she fell and cracked her nose on the sidewalk. She isn't sure if she needs stiches or not. I was like um, I'm not a doctor nor have I ever seen anyone that needed stiches before. Before I could argue with him anymore, she's at our house. David is sleeping but wakes up a few minutes later. I grab him, he's running around, I'm trying to look at this cut on her nose. I don't think she needs stiches but the cut is kind of deep and will at least need the butterfly bandaids.
I call DH back, tell him this and he wants to see a picture! I'm like WTF, she won't let me take a picture. Anyway, he talks with her, I take a picture and send it to him. He gets it and agrees she doesn't need stiches. So I go get dressed (I'm still in my pj's because I was cleaning the house and was just about to get in the shower before this all went down). So I go to Walgreens get some bandaids and antibacterial stuff.
Oh did I mention that her glasses are kind of busted up too. One of the lenses is scraped up really bad and one of the arms of the frame is broken off. So I had to call the optomistrist, (my mil speaks english but just preferred I explain the situation to them). So her appointment is at 2:45 and I'm going to drive her. She said she can drive herself but I dont' feel comfortable with that. She has since left my house to go home and change her clothes (her shirt had blood on it from the fall).
I'm supposed to be studying but if the roles were reversed, DH would do the same thing for me.
Re: Good thing i requested today off
The only thing that got hurt in the fall was her nose and glasses. I'm sure that DH will go over there when he gets home from work. I want him to assess whether or not she needs stiches. She's prefer not to go since her main doctor is downtown.
she just looks like someone beat her up with the big guaze strip I have on her nose and the one she wanted on her forehead for the scrape that she got too.
Ahhh...the garbage can incident. That just made me laugh again.
I hope she's ok. But....how do you fall on your nose? I know when I trip I always throw my hands down to protect my face from a hard hit.
OMG, I'd forgotten and sadly like Mandy, chuckled again. This poor woman - someone's going to report her as being abused!!
I really hope she's okay, though!
