so, what did you think about last night?
Plus, may I ask what the opening number was and was it good? I'm so mad I missed it - a good friend is forming our new concrete porch and he was at the door talking to me about it right when the show started!

We didn't catch the opening number either, so I am of no help there.
I was a bit surprised with the guy who got let go. I thought for sure it would be the other guy (of the 2 it came down to). Can I just say that I am loving Philip.
The choices for bottom 3 couples were a bit off this week (IMO). I would have put the alien dance in bottom 3 for sure.
I really liked the opening number, the costumes were beautiful. It was a tyce routine and I forgot the name of the song they used. But there was a huge picture frame and they came alive out of it and by the end they were back into the frame. It was pretty cool.
I was not surprised that Karla and Vitollio were in the bottom. I do think they did a really good quick step but Randi and Evan are crowd faves and that's prob what got them in the bottom. Did you guys see Karla's face when they found out they were in the bottom. I swear she gave Randi and Evan a dirty look I was like WOW!!!!.
I LOVEDDD!!! Phil's solo, I think it was great. Overall great show.
The opening was a Tyce D'Oreo [sp?] and I didn't really love it but it wasn't the worst that I have seen over the years.
Why does everyone love Caitlin? I really don't like her style.
I guess that I am not surprised with the choices however I did not think that Kayla's solo was anywhere near good enough to stay.
Hmmm sounds like Tyce ripped off JeanMarc's idea from SYTYCD Canada last year. Remember he did a piece with them, all in white and black and there was a big frame that they came out of? I bet JeanMarc watched and thought "hey that looks familiar!"
EW I hate Caitlin. She is soooo awkward. So what if she can do gymnastics? She doesn't know how to use her upper body correctly when she dances. If she's so fabulous, they should call the show So You Think You Can do Tricks. I certainly am amazed that she is performing so well after hip replacement surgery - and I'll give her credit for that, but her upper body is very very weird when she moves, and that has nada to do with her hip.
I was surprised at how weak Kayla's solo was. I think she was sh*tting a brick and her emotions got to her.
I love Vittolio. I am sad to see him go. As much as I like Kupono, I think he's not growing much in the competition and it's time for him to go, not Vittolio.
It was time for Karla - she wasn't growing. She was very limited to her own style.
Philliip's solo was SERIOUSLY AWESOME. Kid has talent. But I hope that he grows and gets used to the other styles b/c he is awkward at them as well.
I really want Philip to stay week to week but only if it is because he is exceling in the other forms of dance, not because he has some slick moves. But regardless, I do think that whatever happens to him we will be seeing a lot of him in the coming years.
Plus I think he and his partner are totally going to do it.
