What Are "Points"?

I noticed that they show up under "posts," but it doesn't appear that x number of posts equal x number of points, and was wondering how they were determined and what the point of them was.

Re: What Are "Points"?

  • I asked on the Pet board and no one seems to know.  They said the more you post, the more you get.  And rating posts will give you more.

  • I asked on my local I think and they said they really don't mean anything, except once you get so many you're not a newbie anymore.. So basically: nothing.

  • I kinda figured, but was just checking. Thanks!
  • lol...the costuming geek inside me immediately responded with "points?  I wonder why she wants to know about aiglets?"  In historical costuming they're the pointy metal things you put on the end of your ribbon so that it's easier to lace things like a corset and so that the ribbon doesn't fray. :)
  • Really your post count takes you out of newbie status. I think 500 posts = bronze, 2000 posts = silver, 6000 posts = gold and it might be now, 13,000 posts = platinum?

Points are based on post counts and when you start posts, how many replies to that you get.

  • 13,000 posts = turn off your computer and go be with the three-dimensional people.

  • do the points have anything to do with getting blue balls?
