We need a thicker ceiling
We came home tonight to hear our upstairs neighbors having sex. This totally freaks me out! I'm glad they love each other and everything, but I always feel weird having to listen to it. Does anyone else have to deal with this??
Re: We need a thicker ceiling
That would definitely be uncomfortable. Sorry!
Fortunately, the only time I ever had upstairs neighbors was for 6 lousy weeks before moving in with H (then BF). I rented a basement apartment of a townhouse, where a single mom lived with two little boys and hardwood floors. BAD IDEA. I happily moved in with my guy way earlier than planned in order to get the hell out of there.

DH and I dealt with it freqently at our old apartment. It was extremely funny one night when we heard what must have been some kind of industrial strength toy. We made a joke about it between us
Although I must say I was very aware of sounds when we did anything after that, since we were on the second floor and had older downstairs neighbors
We moved to a rental house as soon as our lease was up and haven't had to deal with it since
