best friend got engaged!
Yep to a guy she met at our wedding on May the 9th! I was really shocked because they didnt know eachother prior to the wedding and got engaged wens. But I am happy for her! She said in ten months they plan on getting hitched! Its kinda wierd for me because Ive never met someone who got married so quick....met in may get engaged the first of July. I just hope rushing into things doesnt ruin anything.

It could go either way. One of my college friends proposed to his GF after 6 weeks. They got married barely over one year later, and now they've been married for 9 years this month. I hope your friend's relationship is just as successful.
But I agree with you, that'd be far too fast for me.

Wow! My first reaction is that's way too quick but then I think about me and DH and I realize we weren't much slower... We were sort of friends for a few months, he asked me for a date and we courted for six weeks before our first date and then told each other we were going to get married three weeks later so that's not too terribly much longer than your friend. Granted we dated for six months before officially getting engaged and then were engaged for thirteen months to the day but to each their own.

My parents got engaged after 12 weeks of knowing each other and DH's parents got married after only knowing each other 8 weeks. Both have been married over 25 years.
