Does anyone use or can anyone recommend a dog walker in the York area (I live in the east end). I'm still working with Hanna on her anxiety issues and didn't know if this would be the way to go once I head back to teaching in August. Right now I'm home with her most of the day. I didn't know if this would make it worse or give her something to look forward to each day. Ideally I'd like someone for an hour to walk, play with her and tire her out.
I had an appointment with Dr. Wade at Shiloh Vet on Thursday and I'm supposed to be hearing from the behaviorist (hopefully today). I have to keep reminding myself that I've only had her 2 weeks and she's making progress but being left alone for 2 hours and 8 hours are two totally different things. Thanks Ladies!

Re: Dog Walker in York
If you don't do this and instead decide to do a doggy day care, check out this place:

They are fantastic. Friends of ours take their dog there and he LOVES it. They say he comes home tired every night. That is where we took our dogs swimming a few weeks ago. We will be boarding our dogs there at some points. Their prices aren't too bad either. You'd be surprised. The amount you might be paying a dog walker would almost equal this amount.
I heard about this place and checked them out online about a week ago. Do you friends take their dog there everyday? I saw it's $23 a day which isn't bad since it's all day and an hour dog walker could be $20 for an hour. I just don't want to spoil her too much...she needs to learn to be alone. But I also don't want to have to worry about her.
They don't take him every day. They take him once every couple of days, so there are other days when he is home. They usually take him when it is a day that they will be at work late or something. You could take her two or three times a week and then other days keep her home.
