They just said CBS is going to be airing it and changed the schedule for the soaps. I can't imagine what it was like when Elvis died...of course I realize that media and internet prescence now is huge but wow.

Honestly if I NEVER hear another word about him it could not be soon enough. Don't get me wrong, I have MJ records (back from when he was good and non-creepy), I am just over-saturated.

Really? CBS is going to air it. Wow...

Honestly, I'm sorry he died and I liked his music growing up but I am so tired of hearing about this, and hearing all of his songs being played on repeat on the radio. I didn't really like him as a person (or at least what was portrayed through the media) and I am so ready for this to fade away. I don't think it is necessary for CBS to air it, but whatever. I'll just avoid that channel tomorrow.

I will admit I am the sad individual who can't get enough and when the TV is on its usually some sort of MJ coverage right now. I'm a junky. Though you can't fault me too much . . summer TV is severely lacking.

I'm also enjoying hearing his music on the radio . . its a hell of a lot better than half the crap they would be playing IMO.

I'll have to remember to set the DVR tomorrow.

Ditto Jen. I get sucked into all the "breaking news" reports on TV and updates online. Still so sad over it all I'm also enjoying hearing his music on the radio and "re-discovering" all the songs that bring me back to my childhood. I'm definitely planning on watching the coverage on TV tomorrow.

Jen ITA about the summer TV thing and I did watch alot of the special stuff the first day or two after it happened. I was just surprised they were changing around the tv schedule to show it. Not that what is normally on is anything special...you've seen one soap you've seen them all.

I think the whole thing is very tragic and sad. I think there were way too many people in his inner circle that didn't have his best interests at heart including his own father. I think its also sad how much time has been spent since his death talking about the "wacko" stuff that he did.

I'm interested to see how many people show up outside the Staples Center...they are projecting 700,000, but there were over 1.5 million people who registered for tickets online.

I have been watching some of the coverage, but it does seem like a lot. Every time I turn on the tv, MJ stories are all that I can find on the news.

I am curious how today will go though.

Like him or not, you can't deny that he was an AMAZING artist with tremendous talent. In my opinion, he should be honored with this special ceremony and it should be available for the country to see. I'm sure after this is over the coverage will calm down quite a bit. I always was a MJ fan and I'm enjoying the music on the radio. I agree with you Jen, it is WAY better than the crap they normally play.
