Rec.your favorite hairspray

I can NEVER find a hairspray that I like.  I'm using a Bed Head one right now that is almost gone, but I wasn't too impressed with it.  I have really thin hair so I need something that will hold easily without being crusty/hard.  I prefer aerosol to spray bottles (sorry) because the spray bottle types tend to clump my hair a lot.  I don't mind spending a bit more for a good one, either, so salon brands are fine.  TIA

Re: Rec.your favorite hairspray

  • Aussie brands for a my favorite budget one.

    Kenra is my splurge

  • I was going to suggest Bed Head Smile Kenra has a really awesome one, it's like a 25 on hold, but never crunchy or anything.  I get it at Regis.  And it's an aerosol as well.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kenra hairspray.  I have thicker hair and it's been the only one that holds like I like it (but I like a stiffer hold).  I use the 25 stregth, but I know they have lesser holds too, so that might be more what you're looking for.

I actually got my mom and sisters to all convert to use Kenra too - which was a feat for my mom as she was using the cheapest stuff there was before!!

  • I also have thin hair, and love Amplify by Matrix.  It smells good, has a flexible hold and is humidity resistant.  I've used this for the past 8 years or so.
  • Right now I am using Bumble and Bumble (purple aerosol can). I like it and it has a VERY flexible hold, almost can't tell I'm wearing hairspray.

Other ones I like are Kenra and ISO.

My main req. with hairspray that it has a flexible hold. I don't like crunchy. And although I like/occasionally use the Kenra, its borderline crunchy. :o)

  • Bumble and Bumble is amazing!
  • LOVE Redken. They have different levels depending on the hold you want, and the sprayer is like the kind on continuous spray sunscreen, which I like a lot. It is volumising without being crunchy or clumping up.
  • Thanks, ladies!  I've never even heard of Kenra...  guess I need to check it out!
  • Kenra also smells awesome!
  • I like Sebastian's Zero. It is very light weight and hold pretty well. Which is what I love, I hate using hairspray and this one works with out the sticky and stuff.
  • kenra here to!
