Big time. I interviewed for a job about a month ago. It went REALLY well. She said all my responses were right on and even told me I would be a great fit. I felt so good about it. I didn't hear anything and so got a little disappointed but tried not to be too negative. I got a letter in the mail today, I didn't get it. I am so, so disappoinnted. There's been crying. I want to do what I went to school for so bad. I went to school for 8 mother f-ing years and I have nothing to show for it. Not to be totally whiny, but I'm feeling like a big failure.
Ok, pity party over. Make me smile
Re: I need to be cheered up
I agree with Tameka. It's so not you Becki. They even said you were perfect. I had an interview like that before and they didn't have a fit for me then but like 2 years later they called offering a job. Have faith.
((hugs))
Aww, Becki. It's NOT you, I promise. You will find what you are looking for. It might take a little time in this economy, but it WILL happen. Your hard work will pay off and you will find an even better job.
Hugs.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
Becki!! It's totally not you. Like everyone's said, it's this stupid economy. My bestie's husband went for a job interview and the guy LOVED him, then he had a second interview with the owner and he LOVED him too but ended up hiring another guy because he had 20+ years of experience. That guy decided that it wasn't what he expected and quit on his second day of work. They called my bestie's H and he started the next week. It might work out for you, you never know
Thanks guys, it means alot
Its tough esp since everyone in my program found a job soon after finishing. I had a few interveiws last summer too. I'm just feeling very defeated. I need to not give up. I really should just be happy to have a job at all.
Like Tameka said, it's not you, it's the economy. I'm in the same boat you are. I spent 35K on a master's degree that I'm not using...and the prospects of using it any time soon don't look good.
I'll drown my sorrows in some beer with you.
I agree with everyone, its definitely not you! I have faith that something even better will come along and you wont even think twice about this job!
(hugs)
damn economy!
It's hard right now but it's a bigger blow when you just know how perfect you are for the job. I bet someone w/more experience was hired. I am so, so sorry. Things happen for a reason. I'm sure a better job w/more stability will come your way.
*hugs and a corona*
I TOTALLY understand not being able to do what you actually worked so hard in school to do. I'm so sorry. But to make you smile:
*sigh* It worked and I
you
