Poll for The Nest Mag - Wedding Fights

When you were planning your wedding, what was the biggest thing you fought about?[Poll]

Re: Poll for The Nest Mag - Wedding Fights

  • I think it should be "size of wedding/guest list" and "seating chart"
  • None of the above...
  • Other: My crazy attention to detail...

DH got really annoyed that I was being so anal about everything and I was annoyed that I was so stressed out about everything so those two things together caused a few arguments toward the end of the planning.

We didn't really argue, but there were some tense moments at the end.  He wanted me to sleep and I needed to do so many things, so we disagreed a little of the importance of certain things.

  • How is money or overspending not on this list?  "Size of the wedding" could be interpreted that way, but it's a leap.  I mean, it's money!  The #1 thing couples fight about!

Regardless, we really didn't fight about anything regarding the wedding.  It was more that members of my family would pick fights with me, and H and me saying "we can't wait for this whole thing to be overwith so the family will STFU".

    Married since September 2012
    TTC #1 since January 2013
  • our biggest fight was about the guest list for the rehearsal dinner - immediate family and bridal party alone was 80 people bc i have such a big family, so it was a big ordeal trying to organize the RD.

  • Definately none of the above!

How about fighting because H didn't understand until the end how much had to be done?  That was the single thing we argued about.  If I had heard, "oh it'll get done" one more time....Angry

  • It was actually in the very beginning over the church since we weren't sure that our Priest would marry us since we lived together but since that wasn't an option I'll go with Honeymoon. Although it wasn't really a fight, just me being frustrated that it took him so long to make a decision. Good thing he did, though - because of his procrastination we didn't have anything booked when my in-laws decided to gift us a much better honeymoon than we'd planned ourselves Big Smile

This was pretty much what I meant - I think DH's procrastination with everything was the biggest stress & argument cause throughout the whole process.
