Changing my last name!
I'm going to go do it in about a week, after we get back from the HM. Do I need to go to the DMV first or the SS office first? Any other helpful tips would be great too!!!!

It doesn't matter which office you go to first - I went to the DMV and then SS Office. You will need your marriage license with the seal on it.
Get to both offices as early as possible. I went to the DMV because they opened first and then SS Office.
It was a pretty easy process and once you have your name changed on those it's really easy to change everything else. For the first 6 months or so I kept a copy of the marriage license with me in case I ran into a situation that required it.
Exactly this...although I have heard of girls having problems going to the SS first, so who knows.

So I guess I'll answer your question too - I did SS first, then DMV.

I went to the SS first and then the DMV. I was told to do it that way or it could cause an issue.
I went to the SS office first as well. When I went to the DMV the guy that was waiting on me asked if I had my new SS card, I said yes, and he told me good because some people try to get their new license first. So I'm not sure if that meant you can't go to the DMV first.
One thing to note, it is taking a long time to get the new drivers licenses out. I went on 06/05 and I just got mine in today.
PS, the new design is hideous
