Monday Morning. :-S

How's everyone today?  How was your weekend?

My weekend went pretty well - we hit two baseball games and had gorgeous weather except the thunderstorm immediately following Friday night's game.  (Also, when I nearly told off one of the players' gfs because I SWEAR they never shut up during the entire game, SCREAMED cheers at inappropriate times (because, you know, like, they were like talking so much they like didn't even know what was like going on like in the game.  Like.))

I didn't sleep well last night, though, so I'm pretty out of it today and uncomfortable. Sad  C'mon 3 o'clock!!

On a good note, we did find a paint color for our bedroom and have decided we're going to slowly paint it (one wall at a time, basically).  Oddly, the colors we originally liked looked HORRENDOUS in store, but we wound up picking a color called Lemon Drop (I'll see if I can find a swatch online.)

Re: Monday Morning. :-S

  • This is the swatch online, which is exactly what you'd expect from a color called Lemon Drop:

But in person it's a little less yellow and a slight greenish yellow tint to it.  It works better than the Mojito we had as well and hopefully it'll come out right in the end.  (Bonus in this color: when we finally do move out someday, the landlord will probably say to leave it as is because it's a fairly neutral yellow-ish color. LOL)

  • Good morning.  I had a pretty good weekend.  Bought some paint so MH can start painting the dining room while he's off work.  A friend had a party Saturday night so we went out there for awhile.  My niece had her 4th birthday party on Saturday Day.  Oh, and we watched a couple of movies Friday night - Paul Blart Mall Cop and Taken.

We actually watched Paul Blart Mall Cop on Saturday as well! LOL

  • Well it's Monday and definitly feels like one.  MH was in a bad mood this mood and we were just getting on each other nerves.  Hopefully tonight will be better.  Overall I had a decent weekend.  I'm really tired this morning.

Paula, I like the color.  We have painted everything in our house except the bedrooms.  I am thinking of doing the office/spare bedroom in a light yellow/creme color.

Mall Cop is pretty funny and I love Taken.  It was much better than I thought it would be.

Does YH have another job lined up or is he looking?

  • Good morning!  I'm in tad bit sleepy ( I was up doing a presentation for work.  Luckily, I will not be presenting it, just did the research. )

I'll be in and out of meetings all day today and have a crap load of work that needs to get done.

We went to the zoo yesterday and I think everyone and their mama had the same idea as well.  When we were leaving, you can tell the tried to pack the lot full b/c people were told to park on the grass as well as in between breaks in the aisles.  However, when you were in the zoo it didn't seem that bad (nothing like Great America lines).

Oh and I'm excited for Sunday, come on Sunday, I want to see HP.

  • I had a pretty good weekend.  Yesterday was nice to relax and bbq and swim with my family.
  • Good morning girls! I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday I spent the day with MH shopping then went to a minor league baseball game at night with my parents. Sunday I went to the drs, got a good workout in and some errands done then got a lot done around the house so I felt very accomplished. Then I had a dinner with my good friend who is home from Colorado for a few weeks.

I have already started my mental countdown to my vacation at the end of August! Six more weeks!

  • Morning.

We were SO busy with packing and such this weekend. I hate moving, hate it!

Yellow is a hard one to get right, especially the first time so I am glad you liked it.  Our dining room is a light yellow/gold.  Sherwin Williams, Blonde and it is a ncie shade.

  • Jen, that's the funny thing: we're not looking for yellow.  We were trying to get a light, but somewhat bright modern green shade without it being blindingly too much.  Maybe it's the light in that room, but the Lemon Drop swatch looks more of a greenish-yellow which works well to compliment without matching exactly.  We'll see when we actually start painting (I'll probably have MH pick up one of the test pots this week to try out.)

We're also going to be using the Behr Premium Ultra (paint + primer in one), so I'll let everyone know how that works out.

Actually, we haven't decided if he'll go back to work or not.  He doesn't "have" to work.  He's put in some applications but we figure we can wait and decide what he's going to do later.

That paint is great!  I've been using it on the entire house and I love it!  I've been painting over white walls so not too sure how it would work over already painted walls but I do like it.  We didn't have to do 2 coats on anything except the dark blue in the bathroom but that was because it was semi-gloss.  But all the colors don't work for it so you have to make sure you use a color specifically in that section.  It isn't too hard to find a close match though.

That's right!  You were looking for a light green shade.  How funny that it worked out.  It's all about the lighting in a room too.

  • Morning! After working a fundraiser for work all weekend, i pretty much was exhausted and didnt do much after that. Sunday we went up to Ikea to get a desk for Dh's new computer. Its not a permanent desk by any means. We had to leave pretty quick though since ive been getting even more sick since this past weekend.

That's why I had such a hard time finding a paint swatch online and perhaps that one is the straight Behr paint?  But the Lemon Drop we picked up is from the Behr Premium Ultra.  I'm hoping it does well - I don't mind two coats, but non-primer included paint would require that AND a primer as well since we're painting over a fairly medium to dark brown shade (not dark chocolate brown.. more of a dark coffee/milk chocolate color.)

  • Morning! We had a good weekend. Sat we went and walked around a sidewalk sale and riverwalk at a nearby town. Sun we cleaned and I ran a few errands.

Oh and Declan got his first real bath this weekend. I'll have to post pictures if I have a chance. He's also discovered the airplanes in his room and he loves to just stare at them. So cute!

  • Morning...weekend was fairly busy!  Friday i had my appointment (3-hr glucose test and reg doc appt), went to the Angel game (which was really good; and the angels swept those yankees on the series this weeked woo hoo).  Then sat left to lake hemet (camping) for the night.  Which was nice and relaxing, it was warm during the day, but have a/c in our trailer so that was nice.   and then yesterday when you got home just relaxed!  and today, back to my week of boring things! :-)  hehe  i might run some errands, but i might not :-)  we will see. Hope everyone is having a good day!
