Re: How was your weekend?

  • I didn't gave the greatest weekend.  Friday we had my family and DH's family over to celebrate DH's birthday on Thursday.  It was nice to see everyone but the IL's drive me nuts sometimes.

Saturday DH and I went to an antique mall which was fun because I haven't been to one in a long time.  We got a really neat black vase to add to my collection.  Saturday night we had the bachelor and bachelorette parties for a wedding we are in this Saturday.  DH had fun but I didn't really.  I was the only non-family member and only married one there.  They were all drinking and giggly and it felt like I was in HS again.

Sunday we went over to DH's family friends for brunch after church which was fun.  I was just exhausted though from not sleeping well lately.

  • It was very relaxing not having any plans for once. Friday night we cooked a pizza and watched TV. Saturday I did some laundry while he cut the grass. We went out to lunch and got a few things from Lowe's. After that we came home for a bit. We went to a friend's house for a small get together and I got to play with my friend's adorable babies. On Sunday we finished the laundry and went see "The Proposal" in the afternoon. We spent the night making a grocery list and watching TV. Overall, it was a very relaxing weekend.

  • DH was working out of town this weekend, so it was not very fun. I never sleep well when he is gone.

I worked all day Saturday (9-6:30) and then hung out at home on Sunday, waiting for DH to get home.

  • We spent the weekend caring for Piper after her spay on Friday. She did pretty well but still wanted to go crazy.  She doesn't seem to be in much pain, though, which is awesome.  She's running around like normal.  :)

We also saw Bruno with SIL and her FI on Saturday night - DO NOT GO SEE THIS MOVIE!  It was like I paid $10 to go watch gay porn in a movie theater.  Ugh.  We loved Borat but this movie was just way over-the-top and pornographic.

  • It was thank you note fantastic!

Had a low key bbq on Friday night.  Saturday morning I did an 8 mile run and then wrote thank you notes all day!  Sunday was mass, more thank you note writing, a recovery run, and then dinner.  Now it is Monday..boo!

75 TY notes down 55 to go!

  • Mine was really productive. We got our LR floors done, put our new rug down, and moved the furniture back.  I put up new and sturdier hardware for my LR drapes (which I also ironed).  I also put up our new drapes in the master that I'd ordered from overstock (and had to iron those too).  Did laundry, cleaned the kitchen, ordered pics from facebook from the HM and wedding, grocery shopped, and cleaned the bedroom.  Oh, and church on Sunday.  It was a hard-working weekend, but I feel so good!
  • Went to Sam's Club and then dinner with my parents on Friday night. Then after that, went home to prep food (unitl midnight!) for Saturday. On Sat., had a surprise 65th birthday party for FIL. It went really well and we all had a good time. The only thing that was weird was that everyone left by 9:30! I guess that's what happens when you're hanging with 60+ yr olds! Lol!

Yesterday was a lazy day. We listed a bunch of things to sell online, watched a movie (Taken - was awesome!) and played with the dog.

Overall it was a nice weekend.

  • My weekend was ok.  We watched a lot of Homicide: Life on the Streets (tv on dvd is great).  Sunday I went to my Dad's and went swimming with my niece and nephew, which was fun.  I have really been enjoying having our weekends free to laze around or just hang out.
