Shoe Opinion Needed

So I have a wedding this weekend and my dress kind of looks like this

image

I can't find the exact picture (but it doesn't have that metal piece on the side)

Anywho, I've searched for reasonable priced shoes and found these.  I tried it on with the dress and I like how it looks but part of me thinks they have the potential to look like stripper shoes.  Do you agree or disagree?

sorry, I can't PIP. Also, please note, they aren't as shiny as the picture makes them and I got them in black.

Re: Shoe Opinion Needed

  • I personally am not that fond of them, but I do think they would add some fun to a simple LBD and would not consider them strippery type shoes.

I second that.  I'm not a huge fan of the sequins, but I don't think they would look bad or stripper-ish.  (They're just NMS with the sequins.)  But I agree with Jen - it would add some interest to a simple dress.  And you could pair them with cute jeans for a girls' night out.

  • I don't think they look like stripper shoes and if they look good on with the dress than I think they would be fine.

  • When I tried them on they looked really cute with jeans.  The thing about the sequins, they are really tiny and you can barely tell they are there (hence the non-shiny comment I made).  I'm bad at describing things.  I'm usually not one to wear such a high heal but in this case, I think it makes the dress look better.

I asked DH but all he said was it's fine.  He hates when I ask him clothe opinions, he told me to ask his mom (yeah, that's helpful).

The other pair of black shoes I have, look like this (not the same thing but similar) and they do not look right with the dress, at all.

  • I like the shoes the model has on with that dress but I would NEVER be able to walk in them.  I have a problem with heals but the pair I am questioning are really easy to walk in.

Also, i don't have the ocassion to dress up a lot and don't want to spend a butt load of money on shoes I'll wear once or twice a year.

Ehh, I guess I'll keep them. If anything, they were only like $35 or so.

  • Then defeinitely keep them.  Anytime you can find cute heels that you can comfortably walk in for a decent price, TAKE THEM AND RUN. Big Smile

I like the sequin shoes over the other ones you posted.  I think those would look less sexy with the dress.

In my head, those shoes (the tiny sequin ones) look great with that dress.

I completely agree with Paula...and since they were only $35, I would definitely keep them, plus like you said they look god with jeans too.  I also like them better than the other black pair you have with that dress.
