Houston Nestie - need restaurant recs

Hi everyone,

Visiting from the Houston board.  I'll be in Dallas this weekend for a concert and I need a recommendation for a Mexican restaurant.  I will be staying near the American Airlines Center and will be traveling to the Superpages.com Center for the concert.

Price range - $10-12 max

TIA!

Re: Houston Nestie - need restaurant recs

  • The Blue Goose on Lower Greenville or Manny's in Uptown.
  • There is also Glorias on Lower Greenville.  I like all three places.
  • Honestly, I can't think of a real restaurant that you could walk out of only spending $10-12.  I'm thinking something like Taco Bell, Taco Bueno or Chipotle.

Other options close to AAC are Chili's, El Fenix and Luna De Noche.

I meant for the entree. I understand that by the time I order a drink, add tip, etc. it will be more than that.

And I am needing restaurants closer toward superpages.com centter, not AAC.

    Thank you!

  • I think you can get out of Manny's or The Blue Goose on that budget if you're not including beverages or tip.  Gloria's is slightly pricier I believe, although they have a ceviche tostada on their appetizer menu for ~$5 that is so good.  Sometimes I order that instead of an entr?e.

Got it!  When you said max, I thought you meant MAX!

    Not super close, but:

Matt's Rancho Martinez (Lakewood) maybe 10 mins away?

Jorge's Tex Mex (One Arts Plaza) same. ~ 10 mins (w/o traffic!)
