Hi ladies,
Don't laugh pls, I can be very dumb sometimes. I am trying to backtrack some checks that I wrote out a few years ago and didn't write down in my check book. I remember the days that a copy of the check was attached to the statement and relyed on it but this feature is no longer available. I called customer rep.
Customer rep #1: a rep from out side of the US answered and he said that the only way is to request a copy and there is $5/check charge. WHAT?
Called again and custome rep#2 from the US answered: said I can request it online and there is no charge b/c of type of acct I have.
Now incase I get charged for this request, it is not a small charge as I need info for many checks --I am talking about $120, how can I prove that I was told there would no be any charge?
TIA!
WR
Re: citibank -- charge/check
I have Citibank, there's no charge online.
When you click so that you have your checking acct details listed, there's a link on the top right above your recent transactions that says "search for specific activity" and there you can search by check #. A scan will show on the screen.
There is no charge of you request a copy of the check online, but those records have to still be available. Online it will tell you what records are still available online.
