So its my 4th night here... I love it so far! We've spent a lot of time driving through and hanging out in ABQ. Looked at a couple of neighborhoods. I have crossed northern meadows off my list in rio rancho. Its just too far or a commute. RR is beautiful though!
Right now i am strongly considering a Paul Allen Green homes up off McMahon. We also like some of the Vantage homes up there in that neighborhood. Its close enough to the cottonwood shopping and its an okay commute for me to work.
Anyone else live in the Cottonwood, Paradise Hills, area? I am keeping my options open as the Paul Allen homes seem to be going quickly. I met with Rex Paul and he told me he only builds certain houses on certain lots, and right now for my time frame and the house i want, there are only 2 lots left that will be done in time for the 8k credit. might be putting down a deposit on the lot and then if things fall through, i'll get my deposit back. We shall see.
I can TOTALLY see myself living in NM though!
Re: Loving NM so far!
I'm glad that you like the area! It sounds like you are getting excited about moving.
How did your interview go? Did you like the hospital?
Glad you are enjoying your first taste of NM. I like the Cottonwood area - close to lots of stuff and an easy commute down to Pres for you! And sounds like you definitely found a neighborhood you see yourself living in.
Ditto to Claire - how did the interview go?
I'm in Paradise Hills and love it! I'm just south of McMahon actually, so really, really close to where you're looking. Everything you need is right in the area, but if you want to venture out (local restaurants for example) it's not hard to get there. The commute drives some people insane since there are a very limited number of bridges to the east side, but I personally don't mind. I work downtown, very close to Pres actually, and it takes me about 40 mins to get there. It's also very easy to bike commute down there too if you're so inclined (that also takes me about 40 mins each way, but heck, I get my exercise for the day in
).
I'm also dying to know how the interview went!
