Wedding Album Question - How Long?
How long did it take you to get your wedding album from your photographer? I definitely think something fishy is going on with mine - it's been a year and a half and I still dont have it - havent seen the work in progress - etc.
Which is a shame, because I really liked my photographer and his work is incredible. I feel bad leaving him messages every week like "Hey, just checking on my album. You said it was almost ready in Oct. Call me." sorta things. But I did pay for it. And I dont have it yet.
Is this a normal timeline? Or should I continue to be pesty?
Re: Wedding Album Question - How Long?
wow- I would definitely keep pestering. Have you seen anything at all- such as a proof book or CD? I think it depends on if you are waiting for the whole organized pretty album, or if you have seen nothing at ALL.
I got my proofs last week, which is about 6 weeks after my wedding. Most of my married friends got their proofs anywhere from 1-2 months out, and those who ordered albums got them anywhere from 2-4 months out.
Do you have another way of contacting him? Maybe try the better business bearau if you think he has disappeared, especially since you have already paid!
Good luck!
I received all my actual photos (on cd) and about 600 prints a couple months after my wedding. I also received my little "pocketbook" album that holds 20 or so photos.
It's just the big album I'm waiting on.
I know where he lives, have all his contact info - like I said I really liked him so I didnt want to get the BBB involved ... you know?
Yes.
I definitely understand why you wouldnt want to get BB involved, and I totally understand that, especially if you really like him!
But it IS taking way too long to print an album, so don't feel bad pestering. No need to be rude or anything, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with checking in to see on the progress.
you have a DM.
You have been far more patient than I would of been. I got mine by 2 or 3 months after the wedding and it took that long because it took me forever to pick what I wanted in it!
I hope you get some resolution soon. I would want the album back and I would want money back for it not being done in a timely manner.
great advice, lindyanne.
flamoogle - i replied.
I second this. If you have an legal friend who could put it on their letter head all the better. It's amazing how much faster people can be when they get something from an attorney...
