Harp and Fiddle closing
I was sad (and surprised) to find out that the Harp and Fiddle in York is closing. I met a friend there about a month ago for dinner and they seemed busy. Sad day for Yorkers.
Has anyone tried the new place down the street - Agrodolce? The new Thai place (Essan) on Beaver is my new favorite for lunch and gelato.

It was the only bar DH and I would go to in York LOL I always thought their food was only so-so, but I enjoyed the atmosphere, and one of our friends bands played there regularly.
I'm not sure...if Harp can't make it, I don't know who can. LOL
I'm not a fan of Esaan (I was friends with the people who owned the restaurant that was there prior, and I'd have preferred more that style of food go in there, since I hate Thai)
I've heard Agrodolce has great handmade pizza at lunchtime, but that's all I know about it!
I was shocked to hear it closed. Some high school friends and I met there over Christmas break and it was packed.
I did try Agrodolce a few weeks ago for lunch. The food was good but I wasn't super impressed with the service. It wasn't crowded but took awhile to get drinks, food, refills, etc. I would give it another shot though.
