Southlake or near by restaurant recs
So we'll be there this friday to start our house hunting. ?We are staying at the Hilton southlake (I believe its right there in the town square) ?are there any really great restaurants there or near by. ?Something on the nicer end since this is a rare opportunity that DH and I will get a night without the kids
Re: Southlake or near by restaurant recs
So I said Trulucks because it is right outside the hotel...you should also walk Town Square because it is nice at night with the fountains and Piccolomo's Frozen Gelato is delicious!!!
But...if you are willing to drive you could go to JR's Steakhouse which is right down the road and really great.
We love Brio and Campania's Pizza that is also in the square. Here's their website:

Very fresh ingredients and we never feel gross after eating there like we do with most other pizza. ?
I say go to Trulucks for dinner then head over to Brio for a glass of wine. I love their outdoor bar, it makes me feel like I'm on vacation. Hit up Mi Cocina for lunch/brunch the next day.
We live in the town over, Keller (rated the 7th best town in America!). Let me know if you have any questions about the area.

Umm.. I'd have to go with Mi Cocina.
It's in the square as well next to Francesca's.
Truluck's is wonderful as well as Cheesecake Factory.
You have to go to Brio it's more Tuscan instead of Italian (not Olive Garden) - I was so happy when I found out Southlake was getting one. I use to go to the KC Brio and it was were my husband and I went on our first date. TMI
- you have to get a Bellini and either the Insalata Roma (has grapes, chicken, pecans) or Shrimp and Lobster Garganelli (pasta with what tastes like lobster bisque). They may not be on the menu but they will create it for you. I like pretty much everything on the menu that has chicken and/or pasta. They have a cheescake that is in a teacup but you can ask for a slice - it has an original creamy type of texture with cream and raspberry sauce on top. Although the ice cream place next to it is good - Picomolo's (sp).
Yes - Brio is my favorite. There are a number of other good places in Southlake and if you'd want to take a drive to Roanoke - there are a number of great restaurants in the area. Italian Bistro, Babe's, Prairie House and the new Twisted Root.
Have fun and good luck on the house search.
I recommend Brio. I just had my bridal shower there this past weekend and I love that place. The lobster bisque is amazing.
For a sweet treat, walk to Milwaukee Joe's for ice cream. It is behind the Starbucks by the Gap.
The Town Square is one of my favorite little areas in DFW. Treat yourself to massages at the Terrace Retreat.
Good Luck.
I went to Copeland's recently which is inside the hotel you are staying at and it was really good...I am surprised that no one mentioned it! I also second the Melting Pot, it is expensive but it is our go-to place when we want a romantic dinner and a fabulous bottle of wine.
I also live in Keller, happy house hunting and let me know if you have any questions!!
