I called Kaiser just now to see whether there is any way I can meet up w/ their pediatricians just to talk to them and see whether we can find somebody we like. Unfortunately, the person I talked to said we can't sign up with a pediatrician until the baby is born. Is that true? All I really wanted to do was talk to a couple of drs. We want to find a dr for baby G before she is actually born just in case we need a dr for her right away. Not only that, I think we will be too busy to go around interviewing different drs after she is born. I just it would be more convenient to do it now. When did you actually get a pediatrician for your baby? How I wish we can do it now.
Thank you as always.
Re: Kaiser Moms
We never interviewed, I just went with the dr my SIL takes my nephews to because she highly recommended him. You can't assign the baby to a doctor before she's born - maybe that's what they thought you meant. They asked me who I wanted L to be assigned to before we left the hospital and we saw him for the first time at his 1 week appt. Another doc took care of him in the NICU.
The pedi we saw in the hospital was awesome. I really wanted to pick her. But she worked in Fontana so I couldn't. I knew I wanted Redlands. They just picked one for me. I figured if I didn't like her I would just move on to the next one. I ended upliking her though.
You wouldn't happen to remember who was that dr in Fontana, wuld you? Thanks.
Not off the top of my head but I will look for it when I finish feeding Mary.
Thanks, Kristy.
Love kp.org.
It was JUDITH DAY MCLEOD NP. I hope you can get her even though she is an NP.
