Moms with Angelcare monitors
So our old AC monitor died this past weekend so I went out and bought a new one on Sunday. I loved our old one( even though it always had a lot of background static) and found that it worked well and was very reliable.
So as of today I am returned the new monitor once again( this is the third one I've exchanged since Sunday) b/c there is no sound on the parental monitor.
I'm just wondering if I'm installing this new model wrong or if anyone else had problems with the AC monitors that they bought? I'm also wondering if maybe BRU just got a defective shipment this time around???
Re: Moms with Angelcare monitors
I am sure you know this since you already had AC, but it's sound activated so there won't be sound unless Lexi cries or makes noise. I had the same issue too and returned a few until I realized how the sound activation. I never liked that feature (not kicking in unless there is a certain noise level), so I only used AC for movement monitor.
Have you tried testing it while your DH is making noise in Lexi's room to see if it activates?
well that explains a lot! Thanks for the info Gabriella.
I tested the system again and I realized that unless Lexi is crying or being super fussy and loud, the sound doesn't come on. With the old system you could hear the baby regardless of how much noise they were making( I use to even be able to hear Julian breathing or sucking on his pacifier). So now if Lexi is just mumbling quietly to herself, our parent unit stays silent and doesn't register her at all.
I'm not sure if I like this new system or not b/cusually I want to know if she's awake, regardless of how noisey she is.
