PSA: Sports sunscreen can etch acrylic!
My nephews were visiting last week and got Coppertone Sports Sunscreen on the acrylic faucet handles in my bathroom and on an acrylic drinking tumbler. They are now etched! And it was practically impossible to remove - I had to use rubbing alcohol to do it!
So if you're using this sunscreen, beware of the possibility!
Re: PSA: Sports sunscreen can etch acrylic!
Yeah, isn't that a thought? I break out in hives from any sunscreens with PABA in them. Makes summertime AWESOME.
That sucks about your faucets, OP, and Greg's car, Stacey. I'll have to remember to tell DH to be careful touching things when he's putting sunscreen on.
... every single day of forever.
