@^%&# help I need restaurant recs near LB?
So I have family here from Mexico. My favorite girl cousin and her 3 boys. My mom gets to keep her boys for the summer (they're here for a summer program ) but my cousin leaves at the end of this week so I wanted to take them out to dinner tonight. Like at 6 or so.
I'm thinking about a place in Long Beach- by the beach preferrably.
My original idea was Claires at the Long Beach Museum. But they close at 3 pm.
Help. I need a nice place to take the cousin and her boys to dinner (oh my parents are coming too)
TIA!
Re: @^%&# help I need restaurant recs near LB?
Yardhouse right on the harbor.
I know it's a chain but it's my favorite place to take my out of town family and their food is the bomb.
ETA: Make sure you sit outside. I
view at sunset!
Open Sesame is yummy, but I don't know how "nice" you mean by "nice."
And it is not by the beach.
open sesame isn't seaside, though.
unfortunately, i have no recommendations for nice food in long beach seaside. if they're from mexico, yardhouse might be fine. happy hour prices are great, too, if you go to an earlier dinner. there are a few other restaurants near the pike like gladstone's and some others i can't remember the names of, but none of them really have good food that's worth the cost.
oh! you could do belmont brewing company. not too pricey for what you get, and you're almost on the beach with outdoor seating available.
Ooo Belmont Brewing company is cool. Even Joe's Crab shack out there..
What else is by Belmont Shores?
belmont shore:
george's greek
phuket thai
la creperie
pinkberry
another mediterranean place besides open sesame i can't think of.
TONS of other stuff
i've only tried la creperie and pinkberry. la creperie is cute but the food is just OK.
there are a few nice-ish places on broadway, too. la parolaccia (sp?) osteria gets raves, but both times i went were meh.
is seal beach an option? you could do walt's wharf (pricier), beachwood BBQ (yummy and fun atmosphere), or one of the pubs.
::crying::
so much food in long beach, so little quality. this makes me so, so sad.
these are so not crepes, grrrr makes me angry!
I'd say the belmont brewery if you want ocean view.
this. i did try something non-crepe there that was better than the crepes but just aiite. and their drink selection is good.
That was Claire's.
That's Claire's at the Long Beach Museum. My original idea. But they close at 3.
