Just 'cuz I'm feeling catty

I thought I'd let you guys know that our favorite 'never bring a baby on a plane' friend has started posting on the 3rd Tri board.  I wonder if that means she's stuck at home for the next 5+ years of her life...

Re: Just 'cuz I'm feeling catty

  • What was her name again? That whole drama was going down when I first joined the Nest. Good times.

    Wicked!
  • I've seen her on the tri boards and I always read her posts to see if she has something stupid to say, but she seems to have toned it down.  Which is good, but boring.
  • I've missed something...

SusieQ - something.  She went on a rampage about babies on airplanes and I think just babies in general and how they are annoying.

    I can't find her right now - Suzyq19?? - something like that.

She essentially told Melanie (I think) that she was a horrible person for subjecting other people on the plane to a baby.  There was a couple other things too, I don't remember right now.  Oh it was good times.

  • Didn't she go on and on about how people's families should fly to meet the baby so that other passengers do not have to be subjected to kids on a plane?
  • Ah yes, SuzieQ82  or something like that.

Now that she's going to be a mom herself, I wonder what her perspective is now?

Yup. That's it. I'd posted about how our first flights with Jakob went (to/from Europe, and between Germany and Austria), and how in all that flying he'd cried only for the last 5 minutes when we were landing in Vancouver (I've been known to cry then, too, come to think of it). That's when she started snarking about how babies should never be on planes, she's paid good money for her seats and doesn't want to be disturbed by other peoples' brats, etc. Oh, and that family would have to come to her if they wanted to meet the baby.

Although I've no wish to meet her in person, I'd have to say I'd get a certain glee if ever we happened to be on the same flight...

  • Creepy, I was just stalking her posts last night as well...SuzyQ1982. Maybe someone should post a "Babies on planes?" post on 3rd tri soon.

But we wouldn't want your poor babies to be the crying ones - so maybe you can just be on the same flight with other poor crying babies.

How are you feeling, Melanie?  I can't remember how far along you are now.

Especially if hers was the kid that was screaming...  Devil

    Exactly!!

And I could show off my well-travelled toddler. (He's up to 17 flights already, and with our next trip to Germany, that'll bring his total to 23.)

(Now I just have to hope #2 is as good a traveller. I don't want to eat my words.)

I'm 21w4d now. Generally feeling pretty good, but still - still! - having some m/s. That would suck even if I didn't have an active toddler who just says, "Mama no sick!" when he wants to do something and I'm not up to speed. I got a sunburn yesterday, which is not fun. I had SPF55, but a new swimsuit and misjudged how much it covered/exposed. Ouch. Cleavage sunburn, anyone?

    How are you feeling?

Wow - more than 1/2 way. That's awesome!  I've been feeling pretty good overall.  I woke up yesterday with some pretty nasty groin pain.  Was even worse this morning to the point where my leg buckles if I put too much weight on it.  Dr google seems to think it has to do with the widening of the pelvis. Man it hurts!  Can't wait for my OB appointment as I want to check to make sure chiro is okay.  Dr Google also said chiropractic adjustments may help.

    Take care of that sunburn!

  • Ah, SuzyQ1982 . . . I remember her from the Knot when she told amies that her (amies') husband was controlling and possible abusive. I used to think that she was a troll, but now I just kind of think that she is an idiot.

Does anyone remember her "I don't want to get pregnant if it means that I will get ugly stretch marks" post?

I remember that.  I can't remember if it was the same post or not, but she said she wanted to lose 100lbs (or something like that) before getting pregnant, so she didn't want all of her hard work to be for not, if her figure was just going to get ruined by getting pregnant.

  • She was on the knot too?! How did I miss this? Sounds like gem

How did you remember that?!  I knew I didn't like her, but forgot why.

I recall now me posting about our new puppy who chewed a hole in Ty's brand new leather couch.  I was freaking out a bit about what his reaction was going to be (as would anyone I assume?!), and she called him controlling and abusive.

Umm. ok?  You are right.  He tells me what to do, and then beat me afterwards.

In fact, little does she know, I am the controlling and abusive one. :P

  • Well at least he doesn't cry on planes Amies.
  • Could you imagine the lashing I would have taken if he was a crier as well?

    Man!

  • I leave for a few hours and look what you ladies get up to!  Glad I'm not the only catty one today.
