Midwife on the Westbank?

It seems like I've been asking too much from the doctors I've been seeing.  I want someone who will acutally talk to me about what's going on instead of saying everything looks ok and rushing on to the next patient.  It's also really been bumming me out that they dont remember me when I walk in.  I got to hear the heartbeat for about 2 seconds yesterday before they rushed me out of there...I really wanted that to be a special moment for me and DH.  Can anyone reccommend a good midwife?  Or any other suggestions?

 Thanks ladies!

Re: Midwife on the Westbank?

  • I switched from my original OB to Dr. Rebecca Perret when I was 22 weeks because of exactly what you are describing. She's out at Touro. I am extremely happy that I made the switch! As far as midwives, I think it's Esther deJong (??) who delivers out of West Jeff. Quick google search gave me this: http://www.womantowomanmidwifery.com/about.html
  • I used Catherine Badeaux (sp?). She is a certified nurse midwife. She is in the same practice as the above mentioned post. I think they delvier at Touro. Good luck with everything. Make sure you do it your way, you won't be sorry.
