Scarlett went to her first movie last night

DH and I really REALLY wanted to go see Harry Potter last night and couldn't get a babysitter so in a stroke of pure genius I looked around for a drive in theatre. ?I learned on the way to the theatre that DH has never been to the drive-in. ?It's officially his favorite way to go see a movie. Cheep, you can bring the baby without having to worry about ducking out to feed her, and best of all you get to see a double feature. ?

We left after Harry Potter cause it was like 9 hours long but had we stayed we could have seen either My Sisters Keeper or Public enemies. ?It was a good night and the movie was awesome. ?

  • Fun! I miss the drive-in. Ours closed forever ago.
  • I have very fond memories of going to the drive in as a kid:)
  • Oh man..that's awesome! I have so many good memories too of going to the drive in as a kid. I would love to open one somewhere. They rock! Hmm..I don't even know if there is one around Toronto anywhere. I remember there was the Mustang theatre near London..I went to that in college. Still amazing!
  • Alberta has 0 drive ins that I am aware of but it would be awesome if one were to open. I bet it would do a great business. There is an old screen down south when you are driving to Medicine Hat but it looks terrible. I am sure it hasn't been operational in many years.

  • That sounds like a great night out!

True story: my parents went to the drive-in with me when I was 3 wks old. The movie was rated R and they wouldn't let my parents in because I was under age. Can you believe it??
