Re: **bridz2be**
Hey Jen! Thanks, so far so good
I do feel lucky that I seem to only have a belly extension so far and haven't changed much elsewhere. Although I'm really not sure how long that will last! I've loved being pregnant so far - well after week 10 or so when I wasn't dealing with the stomach flu and nasty colds from all of my kids! It's hard to believe that I'm already half-way through, I'm sure December will be here before I know it!
On another thought - I've been wanting to do some prenatal yoga, pilates or something besides my daily walks. Have you had any experience teaching these?
I have taught some ladies who were pg in a couple of my various Pilates classes. If you've done Pilates in the past then you can pretty much do what's tolerable just watching that you're limiting the amount of time in supine (lying flat on your back) and the rolling exercises (rolling like a ball and seal) probably wouldn't be too comfortable with your little baby belly. If you haven't done Pilates before then it's not recommended to start now especially since your joints are more mobile/flexible and since Pilates does benefit flexibility.
I would think yoga would be pretty similar (I don't teach it so I can say for certain though) but again limiting supine positioning and watching to not overstretch or overextend any joints.
Glad to hear that you are feeling well!!
Thanks for your input. I've done yoga classes in the past but not pilates. I guess taking an actual prenatal yoga/pilates class may be helpful since they will direct appropriate positions available. I know if I don't start soon though I'll probably lose that motivation.
And...I can't wait to be able to sleep on my back again! And my stomach for that matter, I'm a lifelong stomach sleeper!
