Hi ladies,
A friend of mine is getting married and is looking to get a prenup written. She wants anything that is solely in her name remain in her name incase of seperation and anything that they own jointly will be split. She has a valid reason and it works best for both of them specially that his family is well off. She has been quoted by a family lawyer $700.00 flat fee. She was told that their hourly rate is $250.00 but if she chooses to pay based on hourly rate it will run her up more than $700.00.
This seems a very simple agreement, does it really take that much effort and time?
Is $700.00 average going rate?
Where can she find a lawyer for less expensive rate?
TIA!
