We are homeowners!
DH & I closed on our first home Friday. Everything went great. We joked around with the sellers the whole time and it all went very fast.
I have a few pics in my blog (link in sig). They arent exciting, just a bunch of empty rooms, lol. We spent the weekend stripping wallpaper from the kitchen and MIL started painting the office & guest room. We move on Sunday and we would like to have everything painted by then but if the kitchen doesnt get that far its ok. The wallpaper is down and thats what mattered most to me, lol.

Congrats! Although the "nothing exciting" in the pictures is relative. I *LOVE* looking at house pictures and imagining what the room could look like, haha. I can't wait to see what you do with it! And great job taking down the wall paper!
That is good that your closing went fast and was fun... our seller was rude to us and everyone at the closing the entire time. It was very frustrating because it was our first closing. Blech.
Congrats! Glad to hear that closing went so well. We also got along great with the seller, and still catch up every once in a while

DH and I are decorating and organizing our first apt together, and it all just makes me want to buy a home of our own! I'm sure this will be a fun (and scary!) time, make sure to post some "after" pictures

congrats! we just did that a year ago and I remember how nerve~racking it was but the feeling of eating that subway sub in the empty room after was so great
