Re: anyone ever been on a cruise?
I haven't been on one, I don't think I would like it. My mom has been on two, like the one to Maine/Nova Scotia in the fall, hated a cruise to Mexico and points south. She was supposed to go to the Panama Canal but the cruise line changed the itinerary at the past minute and she was really disappointed.
We are going to an all-inclusive in Riveria Maya Mexico in late October, went last year the week before Thanksgiving. We loved it, it is like a land cruise. I would rather be parked by the beach instead of on a boat.
My parents went on their first cruise 4 years ago and now go on one yearly - they love it and are ALWAYS trying to get us to go with them. We've never been on a cruise, and for a while I wasn't sure I ever would want to since I get motion sickness and honestly it just didn't appeal to me. But after hearing about their trips it's got us thinking that we'd like to try it...and we're considering possibly going w/ them in Feb. (hoping the price drops some more before deciding). They usually do 5 day cruises out of a port in FL and do different areas of the Carribbean through Royal Carribbean.
A Mediterranean cruise sounds fantastic - I think MrsKateMax (who used to post on the Cent. PA board, and occasionally still pops up) did one of these cruises and I remember looking through her pics. They saw a lot of places from what I remember.
