Mine wasn?t too bad. DH and I were in that wedding so were out of town Friday and Saturday. The wedding went pretty smoothly. The worst thing that went wrong was the flower girl sash was a red instead of a pink but I got that fixed so she just missed out on a few pictures.
The wedding party and dates rode in an enclosed trailer to the reception and we got stopped on the highway because the trailer didn?t have plates. Most were drinking (including some that shouldn?t have been) so that caused some concern but the sheriff was pretty good about it and didn?t even come back into the trailer part to talk to us. Made us late to the reception and we had to take gravel which meant we all got filthy (the bride requested no doors on the trolley so air would be able to circulate) but it makes for a good story.
The dollar dance was 6 songs long which I thought was a bit excessive. The kids were starting to go crazy because the parents weren?t letting them run around until the spotlight dances were over.
Sunday we did nothing for most of the day which was really nice and needed. In the evening we went over to my uncle and aunt?s and hung out with them, my parents, and another uncle and aunt which was fun. We hadn?t hung out with them since our wedding.
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
Ours was good. Friday night DH went shoot pool with his friends while I stayed home with a headache. On Saturday we went grocery shopping and did some laundry. That night we went visit some friends and went bowling with 5 other couples. On Sunday we finished the laundry and went see Harry Potter and my parents came visit for a bit.
Now I'm off to go clean and organize my new classroom.
I worked all weekend
This morning I heard back from one of the contacts I have made while trying to find a job. He has a job available and wanted me to stop by tomorrow morning with my application packet - I hope this is good news. It has been crazy competitive trying to find a job! The HR department told me that they have been receiving between 300-350 resumes for each job posted. Hopefully by introducing myself and having a little impromptu meeting will help my case
Other than that, it was just a boring weekend. My "weekend" starts today at 5 actually, so I'm excited for that.
Friday was good. DH and I went out to eat and then we went to Kohl's to look for new pants for him. He's starting to learn the complications from a bodybuilding lifestyle since his legs are too big for his waist size. : ( It was a very aggravating trip since we found nothing.
Saturday we went back home and I stayed at my grandma's to help her (recovering from knee surgery) and he went on down to see his mom/friends. It was really tiring since my grandpa is finnicky and I had to keep getting grandma up to go walking.
Sunday we recovered from Saturday and cleaned the kitchen. We also went to find DH some pants and succeeded at Macy's (but the pocketbook was quite empty afterwards). Did grocery shopping and finished off the night with a nap. Apparently I was really tired. ; )
We babysat our 3 month old niece Saturday night. She was a handful and cried from 5pm-2:30am. Not so fun.
Yesterday we went to my Dad's and hung out by the pool. It was such a beautiful day and I really enjoyed floating around and swimming with my family.
