Now this is just weird!!!

I was looking for clarinet reeds on ebay (that is weird enough to begin with). However I found this:

 Notice the symbol!!!

Re: Now this is just weird!!!

  • Whoa! Yep, weird. I hope that you play the clarinet, or the fact that you were looking for reeds *is* weird! lol

That is weird!  BFF and I were just talking about reeds on the weekend - how she used to chew her reed and had to buy a new one every music class.  She's weird too :)
  • lol yeah I used to play the clarinet, and then I lent my cousin my clarinet one year, and she kept it for about 10 years LOL!!. but when I got it back, it was missing a few accessories. It's been so long, that it doesn't matter, but I would like to at least TRY playing it again before selling it. So I do need to buy some reeds! There are no music stores really close to my house so I was hoping e-bay might be a good place to look, but the shipping charges are a bit high.

I wonder if a local music store would charge your CC and include postage to mail them to you.  I mean they're reeds - small and light - they won't need much postage!!

Yeah... that's why I thought ebay might be a good place to look. Oh well, I will just have to remember to go into a music store the next time I see one. It looks like the big ones are downtown.

Actually I just found the store in Vaughan Mills carries clarinet reeds. I will have to go shopping ;)

  • strange - I wouldn't be buying those reeds!

I bet there's a Long & McQuade downtown that would have reeds.

  • There's a Long & McQuade on Rathburn in Mississauga, just a bit west of Square One that might be closer than downtown.
  • that is just so wrong. is it a really old reed or something? i didn't see anywhere in the ad that they were pointing it out either (maybe I missed that) - can you imagine if you didn't see it in the photo, ordered it and then it arrived like that?! I suspect your response would be along the lines of "WTF?!"

lol the ad said it was brand new mouth piece from a new manufacturer in China. Uh huh, that's why it has a nazi symbol?!?! lol. I have a feeling someone in China thought it was cool and didn't realize what a swastica represents?!?!

  • That is insane. I wonder if they just thought it was a "cool" symbol?
