We are moving!
We accepted an offer on our house last Tuesday! The guy was not pre-approved though so we didn't get the final word until Saturday while we were out looking at open houses. Our REA called and said it was a go and that inspection would be on Sunday. Everything went fine with inspection, we just have to fix one roof thing that some how got turned over.
We really fell in love with one of the houses we saw on Saturday. It is in Mississauga, just outside of Port Credit. After talking with the REA there for over an hour we called our REA and scheduled a showing for Sunday. We didn't know at the time but when we got there, they were having another open house. It was a zoo! Right when we walked up we were told that there was one offer already and it would be presented at 8:30 that evening. As we were leaving we over heard another couple tell their REA that they wanted to also put in an offer.
DH and I went to a coffee shop while our REA went to our house for the inspection. We decided to put in an offer for $7,000 above asking!
At 10 PM we got an e-mail saying that we got it!! They told us that there was a higher offer but the closing date and conditions did not work as well as ours did. It was a very rushed decision but we are so happy. The location is perfect and the house has some really great features. We have the inspection on Friday so our fingers are crossed that everything is ok!
I am still in shock!
