Crazy story!!

Did anyone hear on the news about the dog who picked up the one day old new born out of the crib and took it outside into the woods!!!  I've never heard anything like that.

The parents got rid of the dog which I understand why but I being the person who is crazy for dogs feels bad for the dog.  Yes, I get what he did had to have been horrible for the parents to see but he is a dog and an animal and the baby should of never been left in a crib in a bedroom where the door was open when there were 3 dogs in the house.  The dog didn't attack he just acted as if the baby was a toy....that it why they need to be trained and watched.

It's definetly a story to open a lot of people eyes...so far the baby is in critical condition and I can't imagine what these parents went through finding their baby in the woods with their dog

Re: Crazy story!!

  • I saw that story and the animal control said that the dog was jealous of the baby.  If the baby was in a crib how did the dog get to it and why was the baby left alone?  Especially if the owners knew that the dog was jealous.

It sounds like the dog didn't intend to hurt the baby and may have been treating it like a puppy by grabbing it by the neck/scruff.

I hope the baby is alright.

  • I saw that and was talking to my H about that last night.  It scares the crap outta me that a dog could do that.  We are definitely keeping a close eye on our dog when we have kids.
  • That poor kid. But those parents are to blame as well.

DH and I were talking about this a couple weeks ago but in regards to our cat. Cats really like to cuddle closely and I'm going to be anal about making sure that the cat doesn't cuddle up on top of the baby. My cat is also a little tempremental and when he doesn't get his way, he lightly bites noses. This will not be tolerated one bit. I couldn't imagine having to get rid of an animal.. heartbreaking.
