Hmm...I wonder if the chuch I got married in would allow this...

Re: Hmm...I wonder if the chuch I got married in would allow this...

  • I know mine wouldn't -- we couldn't even pick our own readings!! But, if I wanted to do something like this I would have found a place that let me. I hate that churches are so traditional - it makes it hard to personalize the weddng. If I had it to do over I would not have been married in the church we did.

    I think it's awesome, though!

  • Krista - I love it!  Thanks for sharing :-)  I totally would have loved to do that but our church would have said a big NOOOO to that :-)  I did try to get my party to dance into the reception to "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake.  They were not that entertaining but some tried.  lol - Stacy
  • I saw a post like this yesterday and tried to find the video but I can't. My computer blocks youtube but if you give me the name I can watch it on my phone, please, please, please

Haha it's called "JK Wedding Entrance Dance" Make sure you have sound!

  • As a high school play, as a dance at the prom, this is cute and would be fun. As a wedding entrance, it's embaressing. I think nowadays people aren't taking marrige and weddings seriously. This ceremony is important and serious not something you start off with by doing a dance to a wife beater singing. I hope their second weddings are a little more serious.

Really? I think a wedding ceremony should be whatever YOU want it to be. The ceremony is for no one except for the bride and groom. If they want it to be formal and traditional, that is fine. But if they want to personalize it and make it fun I don't think it has any reflcetion on the state of their relationship or in any way will determine the outcome of their marriage.

Personally, I think they look like a couple that has a lot of fun together.

  • Hmm, well, I know that this would not be a reflection of me or my relationship with my husband, so we personally would never do this.  However, I think weddings should be reflect you as a couple.  Although it isn't my personal style, I can see how it could be reflective of certain couples and their relationship.  As long as it is a reflection of you, I don't see anything wrong with it.  I think a lot of times, ultra-religious, serious church ceremonies are the least personal and least about the couple (from ones I have attended).
