So the Dr put me on Prometrium (Progesterone) because my progesterone levels are so low.
Anyway within in 20 min of taking this stuff it's like I'm stoned! I slur my words, can't walk in a straight line, and sleep like the dead. I was wondering if this was a normal side effect (turns out it is) so I google Prometrium and sleep side effect.
I ended up on a website for transgendered men that I learned tons of info from. The girls were just full of info about the drug and it's side effects. You go girls!
Isn't it awesome to know I'm taking the same drugs as the trannies and that I'm legally getting high?

Wow- I had no idea progesterone could cause such a wild reaction- since it is kinda naturally in us already!
And thats hilarious you found the trannies--- maybe thats why they love getting their hormone shots in prison (I work for a prison, and there are lots of mid-stream changers who get hormones regularly)- they get really b!tchy if they don't get their hormones, lol!
If you think Prometrium is bad, stay far, far away from Provera (same thing as Prometrium).
I have been on one or the other for almost a year now. Fun timez.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I been on Provera and I don't remember anything weird like that at all.

I had to take progesterone supplements prescribed by my accupuncturist when I was TTC. I had no idea it's the same hormone given to trannies, but makes sense though!

Some of those ladies are prettier than me (some not so much).
That's so funny! When I worked in the pharmacy, we had a couple of men->women post-surgical customers and they used to get the progesterone (provera) and the estrogen patches (used by menopausal women).
One of the oddest things I saw was that they used to by lots (and lots) of maxi-pads. I would think...how weird...it's not like they get their period or anything. Well, one of the pharmacists actually asked one of them why and she said it's because once they have the surgery, there is a TON of, um...moisture down there. (I'm sorry...I'm trying to be delicate here...).
One customer called me and I could tell by his voice that he was male and he said he'd changed his name. It was from an Asian name to an American woman's name. I remember thinking, "Oh, this poor guy picked a girl's name and no one told him it's not a boy's name!". Yeah, he came in the next day and was a "she", picking up her hormones and maxi pads.
I miss those days..
