AW: I PASSED!!!

I seriously don't know how I did it but somehow the stars aligned and I knew enough of the right answers to the questions they asked me.

Thanks for all your well wishes - no doubt that energy helped move those stars around Wink

What does it all mean?! why the heck have I been killing myself with course work and all this study?! What has the last year really been about for me?!

Well I am officially a PMP - Project Management Professional. It is a recognized certification that I can take to a number of different industries and around the world (if DH and I end up moving). It means more money, more opportunities and more responsibility.

Right now I"m working as a PM on the show but now I am looking to take the skills I have and really grow in a new environment.

I AM DOING 200 HAPPY DANCES IN MY LIVING ROOM!!! and having a beer on my patio (even if it isn't sunny)!!

wooohoooo!

Re: AW: I PASSED!!!

  • AWESOME congrats!!! I knew you could do it!!!! Celebrating tonight???

DH has done one of the PMP courses (not sure the title). What were the two you did and would you recommend them?

  • I'm only sort of celebrating tonight - i'm leaving to Calgary tomorrow so I have to pack etc.

I did the intro to PM at Ryerson. It was a great course for me because even though I understand concepts I didn't really have the jargon down pat. It was 3 hours every saturday for a semester (part of cont ed) and I'm glad I did it.

For this exam I just read the entire PMBOK (project management book of knowledge) and did a number of free exams online. I think the online tests might be harder than the actual one but maybe that's because I did the practice ones and they helped so much.

Good luck to your DH - it's bloody hard when you look at all the requirements needed to get it!

  • Congratulations on all of your hard work and many hours of studying !  That is fantastic news.

  • Whoo hoo, Congrats!
