This morning I walked past E's bedroom and his light was on. (This is not the first time this has happened). I would say he might be able to reach it from his crib, but I just don't see how he would go back to sleep after he turned it on...that's so not like him. Plus, this has happened before when E couldn't even stand in his crib.
I have been known to sleep walk so that could be it, but other odd things have happened.
I'm only thinking of this now because Jason will be out of town 8/20-9/3 (let's hope the baby makes it until then!) and I have been thinking about how I'm going to be sleeping with one eye open. (that or make one of my sisters temporarily move in with me, hehe).
So, do you believe in ghosts? why or why not?
Re: I swear my house is haunted
I 100% believe in ghost. There's so many situations I've been in, where I've actually seen a figure in the room w/me. Of course this was years ago but I would never go into a haunted house/building. eff that shiit.
Sounds like you need a roomie.
I totally believe in them! I've had some experiences where I've seen or felt a presence near me. I had one night where I woke up smelling some perfume that wasn't mine or anyone else's that I knew...but it totally reminded me of my grandmother. My mom's a big believer too...probably where I get it from.
Just remember, there is NOTHING to be afraid of, they can't hurt you. I truly believe that the spirits that are around you are there watching over you and just want to let you know they're there!
I do. I definitely belive there is something. The details I'm not quite sure about, but I (and people whose word I trust) have experienced some crazy sh!t.
Funny story, the other night I was woken up by a noise that sounded exactly like someone running across our bedroom floor! This had happened before, but it was really loud this time and seemed to shake the bed. A woke up too. It happened again, but we could tell it was actually on the roof. Raccoons or something.
i wouldn't stay alone either! A is going away for a weekend next month and I'm gonna spend the night at my mom's. I'm chicken, I could never live alone.
This.
Oh I believe! I used to work at the Brandin' Iron in San Berdo... I was manager there and that place was CREEPY at night. I would be the only person in the building and doors would swing open, stuff would tip over, A/C units (in locked boxes) would turn on and off without me doing it, lights would turn on on the other side of the building, I heard footsteps, some people even heard bowling noises (used to be a bowling alley about 50 yeras ago). But I've gotta say nothing malicious never happened- I think they were just curious- or really bored.
Also, at a friend's house in HS, we were in the living room- nobody was home, then all of a sudden in his bedroom the radio started blaring. He said his mom died in that room, so sometimes she did stuff to say hi basically- turn lights on, flush toilets, play with the TV and radio.
But again- none have been malicious- turning a light on just says "hi" to me- and maybe it is a loved one watching over!
The radio thing has happened in our house several times.
I know J's grandma lived in our house. I wonder if she passed away in our house...
Even if she didn't pass away there, it could just be somewhere familiar- and she wanted to see her great grandbaby
I don't believe in ghosts necessarily, but I believe its possible for something supernatural to happen that people explain as ghosts. If that makes sense.
One of my favorite shows is Ghost Hunters. They can usually find perfectly logical explainations for a lot of what people believe is a ghost, but they have definitly found some stuff that can't be explained so naturally. I find it facinating.
We had a radio that would turn on all by itself in the middle of the night. Used to freak us out. We determined it must have been a short in the cord, but I still sold it at the next yard sale because I couldn't see keeping it and letting it just go off. Haven't had any other issues since.
Sounds like a good how. What network is it on?
That's pretty much what i think too. I Looove Ghost Hunters! Haven't been new episodes on lately though.
It's on Syfy (formally known as Sci Fi). The guys are plummers with Roter Rooter and they both had "experiences" so now they make it their goal to document and prove/disprove hauntings, so they go in with all this equipment and recorders and stuff. One of my favorite episodes was the Titanic exhibit. They had some pretty intense experiences there.
I know. Some I haven't seen because I was in school, but there are a lot of repeats lately. I need to catch up on the International one.
Ghost hunters is awesome!
Val: My brother & SIL went to that exhibit. They thought it was really interesting. Sad we missed out (had to drive back to cali).
I totally believe in ghosts. After my great gpa passed away I saw him in my gma's house. He told me he was just checking in.
And after each baby was born something "funny" has happened. Like my mom's music box randomly turning on or the babies staring at a certain spot. I just know it was some of my deceased relatives seeing the babies.
I want to believe, but like some PP said physical proof would make it a lot easier to believe. I believe some people are gifted with sight, but I'm not one of them.
I had a friend in Hawaii who was albino and almost completely blind because of it. He had the gift of sight.
It got so bad with him seeing things that we had to make him sit facing away from windows and doors. He would sit there and you would see his eyes following something, you'd turn around to look and nothing would be there. A friend driving him home one night had an experience with Hawaiian Night Marchers (not friendly ghosts
). Hawaii has some of the most fascinating ghost stories. And I LOVE ghost stories.
She didn't die in the house, she was in the hospital.
I believe in ghosts, I have seen one!
